MONTPELIER MAN ARRESTED ON SEX CHARGES

A Mont­pe­lier man was arrested Tues­day in con­nec­tion with sex­ual abuse of young girls.

40 year old Daniel Bignell JR now faces 14 felony counts includ­ing four counts of gross sex­ual impo­si­tion, five counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape and three counts of kid­nap­ping.

Accord­ing to a Wednes­day press release, the inci­dents involved three female vic­tims between 1999 and 2010, and the first inci­dent occurred when all three vic­tims were under the age of 13.

Bignell is behind bars at the Cor­rec­tions Cen­ter of North­west Ohio.

If con­victed on all the charges, he faces a pos­si­ble sen­tence of life in prison.
