Montpelier School Board Meets

The Mont­pe­lier Exempted Board of Edu­ca­tion on Tues­day evening, went over per­son­nel approvals and ser­vice con­tracts for to the 2015–16 school year. In addi­tion, sev­eral stu­dents were rec­og­nized for their out­stand­ing aca­d­e­mic and artis­tic achieve­ments. At yesterday’s meet­ing, the five year fore­cast was approved, in which, accord­ing to The Times, showed no deficits until at least fis­cal year 2018. The board yes­ter­day, also approved the non-renewal of all cer­ti­fied and clas­si­fied sup­ple­men­tal con­tracts, and accepted sev­eral res­ig­na­tions. Also, the board approved the adver­tis­ing for bids for two buses, set lunch prices for 2015–16 at $2.25 for grades K-8, $2.50 for grades 9–12, $3 for adults and extra milk at 50 cents.
