Montpelier village officials discuss several issues with federal officials.

Montpelier village officials had a chance to discuss several important issues with federal officials during a recent trip to Washington, D.C. Village Manager Jason Rockey and Mayor Steve Yagelski recently attended the American Public Power Association Legislative Rally in the nation’s capital and had the opportunity to speak to Sens. J.D. Vance (R) and Sherrod Brown (D), Rockey said. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-9) was in Ohio at the time, so they spoke to a staff member from her office. According to the Bryan Times the meetings went well, Rockey said, and they spoke about two issues, including an across the board cost cutting measure that affected the Build America Bonds.
