Multi Sport Stars

In a move considered for several months, the Bryan Board of Education approves a one year trial of a dual-sport participation policy, starting this fall. Bryan students will, for the first time in quite awhile, be able to participate in multiple sports, so long as they meet certain conditions. First, students must declare a primary and secondary sport, with the primary taking precedence over the secondary, if a scheduling conflict arises. Students must practice for both sports when possible and meet certain team requirements decided on by coaches. If a student athlete is disqualified or suspended from one sport, they are suspended from both. Approval may be denied at any time on academic grounds.
