The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating multiple burglaries since the weekend on Lake Gage. Chief Deputy of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department, Rodney “RJ” Robinson says that many departments find this time of year a typical time for break-in related crimes at the lake. Chief Deputy Robinson says if area residents see something suspicious, to please call authorities. He also said there are other ways to report something suspicious or something you might think is related to a crime by calling a tip line such a Crime Stoppers locally at 668-STOP or even through the Sheriff’s Department website to email a crime related tip. Chief Deputy also says that neighbors looking out for one another can be a big help.
