MURDER INVESTIGATION MAY BE ONTO SOMETHING

Bryan Police are hoping to wind up their investigation into the death of 91 year old Grace Kennedy withing the next thirty days.

Kennedy was found dead in her Bryan home on Dec. 23, 2009.

A few days later, on Jan. 15, 2010, the Williams County Coroner ruled the woman’s death a homicide, with the cause of death being blunt force trauma to the head and face. In other words, she was beaten to death.

Nothing appeard to have been taken during the crime, and the murder weapon, which has never been publicly disclosed, was found there. Investigators also say there was no evidence of sexual assault.

The FBI was called in and they did an analysis of the crime scene.

Police say it’s been a long, time consuming investigation, but they want to cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s before sending anything to a grand jury for indictment, as they want to make sure that they get a conviction.

The Bryan Times reports that investigators hope to make a major move in the case within the next month.
