Nancy Lee Tappan, age 79, of Wauseon, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at the Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility in Holland, Ohio. Prior to her retirement she had served as a Registered Nurse for the former Detwiler Hospital and then Fulton County Health Center, in Wauseon.
Nancy was born in Holden, Massachusetts on May 3, 1936, the daughter of Frances Donald and Miriam (Wood) Crosby. In 1957 she married Roger Tappan, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Lee Tappan of Miamisburg, OH, Glen Lee Tappan of Wauseon; daughter, Barbara Lee Frankforther of Sylvania, OH; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald Frances Crosby of Griffin, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, and both parents.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in the Winameg Cemetery, near Delta. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
