Napoleon City Council on Monday evening, accepted the resignation of Councilman Patrick McColley following his submission of a letter of resignation to the city on Feb. 26.
The personnel committee will meet this evening at 6:30 to discuss it, and also, according to the Crescent News, to review applications for city manager. Current city manager Dr. Jon Bisher announced his planned retirement earlier this year. He will be leaving his position in May.
According to the paper, the Democratic Central Committee now has until March 28 to recommend a person to fill McColley’s unexpired term, which ends Jan. 1, 2016.
Jason Maassel was elected to serve as president pro-tem — a position previously held by McColley.
