NAPOLEON APPROVES LEVY RESOLUTION

The Napoleon Area Board of Education voted unanimously on Wednesday to approve the second of two required resolutions to place a 2.9-mill, five-year property tax levy on the Nov. 5 ballot.

The proposed levy would cost the owner of a $100,000 home an additional $101 per year.

It will be the district’s fourth attempt for new operating funds since March 2012.

If approved in November, the levy would generate about $827,000 annually.
