A northeast Indiana woman was critically injured in a crash early Sunday in DeKalb County.
25 year old Hannah Bercot was southbound on DeKalb County Road 61 around 2am, when she drifted left of center and over corrected according to officers, crossing back over the center line and off the west side of the road, hitting a utility pole.
The sheriff’s department said Bercot, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a skull fracture. She was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital.
Police believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
