School Suit Dismissed

In Defi­ance County Com­mon Pleas Court, the Ayersville Local School Dis­trict has dis­missed a suit against a state fire mar­shal and has agreed to com­ply with a num­ber of fire code issues.

Accord­ing to the Cres­cent News, the school filed the suit in March, nam­ing state fire mar­shal Larry Flow­ers , and appealed a civil penalty of $1,500 imposed against the dis­trict by the Ohio Board of Build­ing Appeals back in Feb­ru­ary.

Dis­trict offi­cials now say that the dis­trict will have time to take care of the vio­la­tions, with the agreed dead­line to do so set for Aug. 15.
