New pocket park in north Toledo neighborhood.

On Saturday, volunteers from the community turned the proverbial garbage into treasure by taking to the streets of North Toledo. In a new pocket park in a north Toledo neighborhood, volunteers collected used tires for use as vegetable beds as part of a tire reclamation project organized by the North Toledo Coalition. The southwest corner of Stickney Avenue and North Michigan Street will be home to the new pocket park, which has not yet been given a name.
