New electric rates are coming. The Bryan Board of Public Affairs approves a scheduled change. Officials say although it will increase the monthly residential customer charge from $8.25 to $10.25, the kilowatt hour charge will decrease from 9.98 cents to 9.83 cents. And the power supply cost adjustment, currently at 4/10 of a cent, is expected to not only go down to zero, but to actually work as a credit toward the customer in 2019.
