New Purity System Under Consideration In Evansport

The Brunersburg Water District in Evansport will install a system to remove trihalomethanes in its water. The substance is thought to be harmful to humans. The water, supplied by the village of Archbold, is stored at a tank at CCNO before being transferred via pipe to Evansport. The cost of the project is $843,750. Water district officials are hopeful the cost can be covered with a monthly $15 charge that has been assessed to Evansport customers in recent years. The plan is to conduct a pilot study in summer 2019.
