Newly constructed electrical substation in Holiday City nearing completion

A newly constructed electrical substation should be online in early January according to Holiday City Village Administrator Gary Baker. Baker told village council at last week’s meeting that final testing by contractors and Toledo Edison are nearing completion. The Bryan Times reports council approved additional change orders of $33,000 for the substation project, bringing the final cost to around $2.6 million, well below the initial $3.1 million estimate. In other action, council heard that the electric system maintenance contract with Toledo Edison has been modified with the cancellation option changed from 30 to 120 days.
