No CRT

The North Central Local School Board of Education votes 4-1…to ban the teaching of critical race theory in the district. The vote came after the all-white board voted to add the resolution to the meeting agenda, after it was initially not included. Some say…CRT is a movement to critically examine U.S. law as it intersects with issues of race. Some experts maintain it is generally only taught at the college level. The vote also came after months of discussion at board meetings in which outspoken residents claimed that North Central teachers were teaching or promoting ideas tied to CRT.
