North Central School Board Moves Money

The North Cen­tral Board of Edu­ca­tion on Tues­day, voted to approve a trans­fer of $300,000 from the per­ma­nent improve­ment fund to the locally-funded ini­tia­tive por­tion of the cost of some new con­struc­tion. The board also approved a pay­ment of $1,480,164.07 to the class­room facil­i­ties fund. The Bryan Times reports that ground­break­ing for the new school is now set for June 2nd, and the ten­ta­tive move in date is set for the begin­ning of the 2016–17 school year. A meet­ing with the archi­tect and con­struc­tion man­ager is set for next Wednes­day, when the bud­get is expected to be finalized.
