November unemployment figures for six county area released

Unemployment rates in the Defiance six-county area remained below the state and national figures in November according to information released Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The statewide, not seasonally adjusted, rate is 4.4 percent and the national rate is also 4.4 percent for November. The highest rate locally was 4.3 percent for Defiance County, while Putnam County was among the lowest rates in the state at 3.1 percent.
