Officer Involved Crash In DeKalb

A police officer is hurt in a crash on State Road 8 in Auburn, near I-69. DeKalb County investigators say a cargo van, driven by King Oberlin of Angola, was eastbound on 8, waiting to turn onto northbound 69. At the same time, a westbound Auburn police officer entered the intersection. A crash ensues. The officer says he had the right of way. The officer was taken to the hospital with a cut on his nose and a sore ankle. Oberlin refused any medical treatment.
