Ohio Highway Patrol offers free motor vehicle inspections in Hicksville.

The Ohio Highway Patrol’s Defiance post is offering the public a free motor vehicle inspection from noon-3 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Hicksville Senior Center, 708 E. High St.Patrol troopers and CarFit technicians will be on hand to make inspect vehicles, and the event is open to everyone with no appointments needed. Just drive in, and the team will take care of the details. According to the Patrol, from 2019 to 2023 there were 9,811 crashes in Ohio where vehicle defects were a contributing factor. Brake failures and tire blowouts were the most common factor in vehicle defect-related crashes.
