Ohio State Patrol Investigates Serious Injury Crash in Lucas County.

The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on September 18, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m. The crash occurred at the North Irwin Road and Frankfort Road intersection, in Spencer Township, Lucas County.
Jackie Eugene Riffe, age 25, of Holland, Ohio was driving a 1987 Honda Rebel westbound on Frankfort Road while Kaleb Douglas Demaline, age 22, of Toledo, Ohio was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta southbound on North Irwin Road. Mr. Demaline failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and was struck by Riffe.
Riffe was transported to the Toledo Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
