Old Eyesore Comes Down

Maybe you’ve seen it. Workers used a jack hammer to knock out the concrete at the abandoned former AP/Clark gas station, at the corner of South Main and East Maple streets in Bryan. It’s been closed since 2005…taxes and an absent owner the problem. Crews are going to be removing the canopy, demolishing the structure, taking out the gas islands and making preparations to remove the underground gas tanks. The project could take several weeks.
