One Dead…Two Children Fight For Life

A Columbia City woman is killed…when her vehicle goes into the path of a dump truck, along S.R. 3, at Waits Road, in Kendallville. They say Shelby McClellan was driving east on Waits…with two young children…when she failed to yield the right of way to the dump truck traveling north, on 3. McClellan was pronounced dead at the scene. The two young children…are airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital in critical condition. The driver of the dump truck was taken to a Kendallville hospital. State and local investigators are on the case, at this hour.
