One person is dead after a crash before noon Wednesday on the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County. According to the Swanton post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, a semi truck driven by 68 year old Bruce Wichenbach of Waldoboro, Maine, was westbound on the Ohio Turnpike near mile post 16 when his vehicle drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a another semi, occupied by 57 year old Richard Taylor of Harrisburg, Pa. A third vehicle, driven 51 year old Jeffrey Reinkemeyer of Hellenville, Wis., swerved to avoid the crash debris and drove off the left side of the roadway striking the median ditch. Wichenbach sustained fatal injuries. Neither Taylor nor Reinkemeyer sustained injuries in the crash.
