Operations at the West Unity Post Office have been suspended due to black mold

Operations at the West Unity Post Office have been suspended after an investigation turned up black mold in the office’s basement. The U.S. Postal Service announced that, in accordance with USPS and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, the Postal Service suspended operations there on Friday. Negotiations are underway with the property owner to abate the black mold issue. If the issue is abated, the office will re-open at the same location. If it is not abated, the USPS will initiate the process of locating an alternate site within the community.
