Osting Is Indicted

An area woman is indicted by a Defiance County grand jury for trying to kill her husband. Prosecutors believe Linda Osting shot the man in the abdomen with a handgun back on Dec. 11 at their residence on Nagel Road. Judge, Joseph Schmenk re-established a $250,000 cash bond. A no-contact order with her husband also is included in the arrangement. Mitch Osting was taken from the scene that day by air ambulance to a Toledo hospital with life-threatening injuries. He has since been released and is recovering.
