Pam Shaw, 54

Pamela Sue Shaw, 54 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo.  Pam was born October 7, 1959 in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of the late Robert Daniel and Ruth Ann (Eighmey) Burchett.  She was a 1977 graduate of Ida High School.  Pam married Richard L. Shaw on November 5, 1994 in Stryker, Ohio, and he survives.  Pam was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who saw no greater purpose in life that to care for the needs of her family as well as the needs of others.  She recently began working part-time in the cafeteria at Bryan City Schools.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bryan.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and sewing.  She gave unconditionally to others as the need would arise.  She took pride in the raising of her granddaughter, Cammy.

In addition to her husband, Richard, Pam is survived by her two sons, Scott (Felicia) Wilson of Hicksville and Stuart and his fiancée Angela Sue Cox of Edgerton; two grandchildren, who referred to her as Maw-Maw, Caleb Scott Wilson and Cammy Marie Shaw; three sisters, Sharon Louise (Dan) Sauvey of Erie, Michigan, Gloria Jean Gowen of Erie, Michigan and Julie Ann Burchett of Allen Park, Michigan; one brother, Robert Burchett.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joshua Burchett and one granddaughter, Addie Mae Wilson.

Visitation for Pamela Sue Shaw will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.  Funeral services for Pam will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 925 East Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating.  Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Bryan Area Foundation – American Cancer Society Fund
