Brian Davis has resigned and Patti Rockey is the new chairperson of the Williams County Republican Party. The Bryan Times reports Davis, a Williams County commissioner, resigned at the Dec. 13 monthly party committee meeting and party members selected Rockey as the new chair. She is the Williams County recorder. Davis, of Bryan, said it was his decision to step down after serving as county party chair through three presidential elections over the past eight-plus years. In addition, County Commissioner Lew Hilkert has resigned as county GOP party finance committee chairperson, and Jim Kozumplik, of Bryan, is the new finance chairman.
