Paul O’Brien, Jr., 70

Paul E. O’Brien, Jr., age 70, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 12:20 A.M. on Monday, August 19, 2013, shortly after admittance to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. Mr. O’Brien attended Gahanna High School and upon moving to Bryan worked as a draftsman for Bryan Metals, retiring in 2000 after thirty-six years of service. Music was his first love and he was a well-known musician and entertainer, playing with bands throughout the area for many years, with the ability to play anything. Most recently he enjoyed playing music locally and in Florida. He was a member of Lick Creek Church of the Brethren, where he was a pianist. He was an avid golfer at Suburban Golf Course. He also enjoyed sailing and water and snow skiing and ran the scoreboard at Bryan High School football games for many years.

Paul E. O’Brien, Jr. was born on March 12, 1943, in Gahanna, Ohio, the son of Paul and Ada (Schirtzinger) O’Brien. He married Donna D. Beck on March 9, 1974, in Bryan, Ohio, and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Tracy (Robert Bolenbaugh) O’Brien, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Terri (Jim) Morr, of Bryan, Tim (Lisa) Saneda, of Lemon Grove, California, Tom (Laura) Saneda , of Bryan, Tori Saneda, of Seattle, Washington, and Theresa (Saneda) Durbin; nine beloved grandchildren, Kara, Katlin, Brycen, Keshia, Kelsey, Alicson, Margo, Alex and Tara; three great-grandchildren, Shailynn, Makenly and Alivia; and two sisters, Marianne O’Brien, of Daytona, Beach, Florida, and Kathy O’Brien, of St. Louis, Missouri.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, from 2:00-5:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home immediately following the visitation, beginning at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Darrell Beck officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
