Paula Elliot, 80

Paula Elliot, 80 years, of Hicksville passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Laurels of Dekalb, Butler, Indiana. Paula was born October 10, 1940 in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norman and Martha (Rodocker) Cottrell. She was a 1958 graduate of Hicksville High School. Paula married John Elliot on December 26, 1968 and he preceded her in death on September 22, 1987. She began working at Goldenetz Supermarket when it opened continued working as the bakery manager at Clines Super Valu. Paula then worked at Universal, Butler, Indiana until her retirement in 2005. She attended the Gospel Tabernacle, Hicksville. Paula was a loving mother and grandmother. She made sure everyone, and everything was taken care of at the house. She was known as a woman of faith and a prayer warrior for many. In her free time, Paula enjoyed cleaning the house and working in her yard.

Surviving is her daughter, Erin Boyd of Hicksville; two grandsons, Alex Boyd and Eric Boyd of Hicksville; great-granddaughter, Arianna Boyd; brother, David R. (Donna) Cottrell of Woodsfield, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John and brother, Gene Cottrell.

To honor Paula’s wishes there will be no visitation or services held. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville.
