Paulding County Commissioner Fred Pieper was appointed by the Governor last week to the Ohio Advisory Council for the Aging.
The board includes 12 members who are appointed along with four other individuals from legislature and state departments of mental health, developmental disabilities, health and job and family service.
Responsibilites include reviewing issues, plans, programs and their budgets that impact older residents and advocating for seniors. The council meets six times a year. Pieper’s first meeting will be May 28.
