A Paulding County man was arrested by Defiance police following a brief pursuit on the city’s north side Sunday morning. 30 year old Michael Loop of Paulding County Road 1039, Oakwood, was charged with obstructing official business and failure to comply with a police officer. He was also picked up on a holder from Paulding County. Loop was initially spotted by a Defiance police officer on North Clinton Street shortly after 10 a.m. Loop allegedly fled from the officer who attempted to stop the vehicle. Defiance police reported that the suspect jumped from his moving vehicle and fled on foot toward N. Clinton St where he was quickly apprehended and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
