The dates for John Paulding Days have changed. The annual festival is moving from June to July. The Director of the Paulding Chamber of Commerce, Peggy Emerson, told the Cresent News that since a lot of festivals happen at the same time in June, they wanted to provide something to do later in the summer. Some changes set in motion this year are fireworks, and changing from a carnival to more of a hometown festival. They are dropping the carnival rides and will have inflatables and a rock climbing wall. The Chamber is trying to raise $8,000 for a fireworks show on July 9th. Donations are being accepted by the Paulding County Area Foundation.
