Payback

Williams County Commissioners accepted a $3,000 check from insurance provider, Anthem. Officials made the check presentation to the panel, saying the money was Williams County’s share of a statewide distribution by Anthem to make up for what was confusion and inconvenience…created during the distribution of Anthem identification cards. The board made the decision to return the funds received from Anthem to the counties to use however the counties see fit. They made the presentation after a 32-minute closed, executive session called for matters required to be kept confidential by federal law or regulations or state statutes.
