In Paulding County Court, a man man this week pleaded not guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge and three drug-related charges. 26 year old Andrew Martin of Payne, was indicted on one count of involuntary manslaughter, a felony; two counts of corrupting another with drugs, also a felony; and illegal manufacturing of drugs, which is also a felony. Following his plea of not guilty to all charges, a pretrial hearing was set for Oct. 14 with trial set tentatively for November 3. The involuntary manslaughter charge stems from the August death of 50 year old Cary Parsons of Payne, who was found dead in the kitchen of his home by his girlfriend. Martin is being held behind bars, with bond set at $250,000.
