Pedestrian/Train Accident In Defiance

An acci­dent involv­ing a pedes­trian and a train occurred early Sun­day morn­ing in Defi­ance. It was just after 1am yes­ter­day, when the call came in about the mishap at the rail­road cross­ing on Ottawa Avenue. So far, the vic­tim has not been iden­ti­fied. We do know how­ever, that the pedes­trian was taken to Mercy Defi­ance Hos­pi­tal, but no word on exactly just how seri­ous the injuries are. Defi­ance Police are con­tin­u­ing the inves­ti­ga­tion today in an effort to fig­ure out just what hap­pened, and just how it happened.
