Peggy Kimble, 74

Margaret “Peggy” Atkinson Kimble, 74, of Montpelier, passed away Thursday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on Aug. 13, 1940 in Pinehurst, North Carolina to Henry Lee and Virginia Caroline (Hensley) Butner. On March 6, 1966 she married Robert John Kimble and he survives.

Peggy was a secretary and bookkeeper for Kimble Machines, Inc. in Montpelier for the last 25 years. Previously she had worked for Dr. Gary DeMuth in Montpelier. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved life and all of her family. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, traveling and spending time at the ocean. She was a breast cancer survivor for five years.

Peggy is survived by her husband Robert; three sons, Robert (Rebecca) Kimble, II of Bryan, James (YeWon) Kimble of Cockeysville, Maryland, and Daniel (Tori) Kimble of Bryan; one daughter, Judith (Stephen) Wagner of Defiance; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Janice (Ken) Black of Micco, Florida and Toby (Richard) Sink of Clemmons, North Carolina.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, and her grandmother, Jennie Lee Leavitt, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, who helped raise her.

A time to receive friends will be on Tuesday, June 30 from 2-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be given to the Williams County Humane Society, Williams County Cancer Assistance or donor’s choice.
