Pesky Road Finally Gets Fixed

County commissioners learn repaving the pot-holed stretch of County Road D, between County Road 7 and Ohio 576, may cost over the $1.2 million initial estimate. Gerken Paving of Napoleon, submitted the lone bid in chambers. Commissioners and county engineering staff noted that while the bid is slightly higher than the estimate, it’s less than the 10 percent that would trigger a re-bid. The project includes milling up the old asphalt, making full-depth repairs to the roadway edges, then repaving the four-mile length of roadway.
