Pettisville Issues Recall

Pettisville Meats is recalling approximately 1,700 pounds of Oven Ready Rossman’s Ham Loaf due to what they call an undeclared allergen. The ham loaf product contains eggs, which is not declared on the product label according to the Ohio Department of Agriculture. The Oven Ready Rossman’s Ham Loaf product was produced between Feb. 4, 2014, and May 15, and packaged with two different labels, one with the establishment number EST. 1240 inside the Ohio mark of inspection, and the second is a retail only label that does not bear the mark of inspection. The affected product was sold through the company’s retail market in Pettisville, and the issue turned up during a routine label review by ODA’s Division of Meat Inspection. Pettisville Meats says any customers who purchased it, should not eat it, and to return it to the company at 382 Main St., Pettisville, or call them at 419–445-0921.
