Phyllis I. Creech, 77, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at Vancrest of Hicksville. She was born August 29, 1944, in Hicksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Isaac and Nina (Hart) Ish. Phyllis attended Hicksville High School, and then married Carl Creech on July 19, 1969, and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1984. She worked as a homemaker, raising her two children. She was a 50 year member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556. In her free time, Phyllis enjoyed cross stitching, playing bingo and going to the Hicksville Senior Center.
Phyllis is survived by her two children, Jessica Creech Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Sean Creech of Hicksville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Creech; and three siblings, Ellen “Maxine” Elliot, Betty Ward, and Max Ish.
To honor Phyllis’ wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
