Shari Ann Gallant, 58

Shari Ann Gallant, age 58 of Defiance, Ohio, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was born Shari Ann Duffey on August 9, 1963, in Paulding, Ohio, to the late Robert and Barbara Duffey.

Shari is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary Gallant; sons, Nathan Gallant of Defiance, Ohio, and Ethan Gallant of Tiffin, Ohio; daughter Savannah (JR) Treace of Stryker, Ohio; grandchildren, Kendall and Whitney Woolace, step-grandchildren, MaKaela and Jamison Treace, all of Stryker, Ohio; three sisters, Larisa (Juan) Maristany of Athens, Georgia, Jeane (Bill) Shawver of Grove City, Ohio, Tena (Jeremy) Crist of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother, Robert Duffey of Paulding, Ohio; special cousin, Annette Durre of Mishawaka, Indiana; best friend, Lisa Philpot of Paulding, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Laura L. Duffey.

Shari was a wife and homemaker while her children were young.  She then worked at Obsidian Jewelers for ten years.  She then worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Napoleon for the last three years.

She was a very creative person.  She made beautiful jewelry.  Shari was known for her decorating talent, her ability to find the best deals at thrift stores, and her impressive purse collection.  She enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking with her family, as well as hosting large get-togethers.  Above all these things, she loved being a nana the most.  Her grandchildren brought her so much joy.  Her faith in Jesus Christ was paramount in her life.  It was the same faith that carried her through her health trails the last two years.  She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.  Matthew 25:21.

Visitation for Shari Gallant will be held Monday, January 31, 2022, from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.  Visitation will continue Tuesday, February 1, 2022, one hour prior to the serving, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 203 Old Farm Trail, Bryan where funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon Tuesday, with Pastor Nic Walborn officiating.  Interment will follow in Evansport Cemetery, Evansport, Ohio.

The family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to the family.
