Pioneer Considering New Fire Truck

A new fire truck might be on the way for Pioneer Village.

According to the Bryan Times, discussion of making a purchase before the August deadline for the upcoming levy was postponed until Pioneer village council’s next meeting, but council is beginning to look into pricing.

Borrowing from the village’s electrical fund or taking out a loan from a bank were floated as ways to cover the cost of the proposed new equipment.

It was decided to investigate the village cash flow before the next meeting, and if by the next meeting, council members find out that the village can’t yet pay for it, they will then delay any decision until November.
