According to Branch County District Court, 45 year old Norman Dale Osborn, Jr. of Pittsford was arraigned on two charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count each of domestic violence and reckless driving. Coldwater Police say on May 5, the female victim and a male co-worker pulled into their place of employment on South Michigan Avenue when Osborn opened the door to their vehicle and tried to hit the male driver with a piece of exhaust pipe. He then went to the passenger’s side and tried to hit the woman. He slapped her face, and then left the area in his vehicle. The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department went to Osborn’s home were he was arrested, and transported to Coldwater. He is free on a $5,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim. His preliminary hearing is set for June 6.
