Police Say Alcohol Involved In Crash

Police say alco­hol is sus­pected to be behind the crash in Put­nam County Thurs­day night which sent an Ottawa man by air ambu­lance to St. Rita’s Med­ical Cen­ter, Lima.

The Ohio High­way patrol reports that a vehi­cle dri­ven by 27 year old Gre­gory White Jr was west­bound on U.S. 224 when it was hit by an east­bound vehi­cle dri­ven by 31 year old Chad Bog­art of Ottawa.

Bog­art was taken by air ambu­lance to St. Rita’s Med­ical Cen­ter. It has been reported that he was dis­charged Sat­ur­day night.

Bogart’s pas­sen­gers, 20 year old Cody Hess, and 28 year old Nija Tromb­ley were taken to the Put­nam County Ambu­la­tory Care Cen­ter for treat­ment of non life-threatening injuries.
