Putnam drug town hall draws hundreds

The town hall meeting we told you about earlier this week about the heroin problem drew hundreds to Putnam County last night. The speakers on a panel included state and local officials, recovering addicts, parents of addicts and members of the Governor’s opiate action team. The consensus was that addicts are trying to mask physical and emotional pain and that more treatment is needed for the underlying issues.
