Rain slows down new turf installation

Defiance High School’s new football field is taking shape. The Fred J. Brown Stadium is getting new artificial turf. Rains slowed down the progress on Friday and Saturday.

The new field will benefit football, soccer, baseball and softball teams.

The cost of the project is almost $3.5 million dollars. That includes dugouts, lights, fences, and buildings for restrooms, pressbox, and concessions.
