A debate among Republicans running for Ohio governor is off…after Gov., DeWine declined to participate…and another candidate decided to follow suit. Former congressman, Jim Renacci opted out of the nonpartisan Ohio Debate Commission event, which had been scheduled for March 29. Renacci’s staff says if the governor isn’t going to be at the debate…what’s the point? DeWine campaign manager, Brenton Temple said at the time of DeWine’s decision last week that the governor is always publicly accessible. He said DeWine meets with constituents daily and regularly fields questions from the media.
