A food handler at a Taco Bell in Napoleon is confirmed to have hepatitis A. The Henry County Health Department says anyone who ate at the restaurant between June 11th-to the-28th may have been exposed to the virus. They recommend a vaccine or a treatment of immune globulin if the individual can’t receive the vaccine. The infected individual is not currently working and is receiving medical care. The Ohio Department of Health declared a statewide outbreak of Hepatitis A in June 22. At last count, there are 101 cases confirmed in the state, with 69 hospitalizations. One case was reported in Williams County late last month. Anyone potentially exposed to hepatitis A should contact their health care provider.
