Return of the U.S. 127 garage sale.

It may be the best time of year for anybody who loves finding great deals with the return of the U.S. 127 garage sale. Running Thursday through Sunday, the sale earned the name “World’s Largest Yard Sale” because it spans nearly 700 miles, starting 5 miles north of Addison, Michigan, and heading south all the way to Gadsen, Alabama. It’s been a tradition since 1987. Mike Walker organized a large garage sale in Jamestown, Tennessee, to encourage travelers to take scenic routes through rural communities to see what they had to offer. The event always brings a lot of traffic to the area, both locally and from across the U.S. and even Canada. Vendors can be found all along U.S. 127 in Williams County, with some people congregating together in specific areas…while others set up in their own garage or yard.
