Richard Hughart, Sr., 68

Richard G. Hughart, Sr., age 68, of rural Hicksville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home. Richard retired from Auburn Gear, where he had been a machine operator. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, near Edgerton and was a former member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233.

Born February 10, 1947 in Hicksville, Ohio, Richard was the son of Lafe and Dorothy (Klinke) Hughart, Sr. Richard is survived by his children, Shanna (Jason) Melson, of Waterloo, Indiana and Richard (Cindy) Hughart, Jr., of Edon; three grandchildren, Mathew, Cassidy and Katlyn; siblings, Kathy (William) Teegarden, of Goose Creek, SC, James Hughart, of Goose Creek, SC, Barbara (Gary) Alley, of Helmer, IN, Roxanne Fisher, of Fort Wayne, IN, Connie (Kenny) Webb, of Escondido, CA, and Stan (Deb) Hughart, of Edgerton and a sister-in-law, Carol Hughart, of Kelso, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David Hughart and Lafe Hughart, Jr., niece, Jennifer Hughart, nephew, Jay Hughart and a brother-in-law, Richard Fisher.

Funeral services for Richard G. Hughart, Sr. will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church near Edgerton and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton and one hour prior to the service at the church

Memorial contributions may be given to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
